Greetings virgin bouncers!

The origins behind the daily bounce..... I started to send a select few friends a song a day (missing a few days out due to being a human with a lazy gene). This evolved in a darwinistic style and became the daily bounce. These friends now chip in from time to time and raise songs to trump my previous bounce...I had to take it one step further and reclaim the bounce as my own...So I sailed the seedy seas of the internet and developed this blog.

This is where I can showcase old and new songs that I love, and typically 'bounce' to....enjoy...

friday brings you Erland & The Carnival...

And their great track 'My Name IS Carnival'. I can't put my finger on why i like this so much, perhaps as it is so different from everything that I am hearing right now....infact that's probably it.

This song is best enjoyed whilst either, watching a spaghetti western or rounding up a herd of cows with a lasso. Or you could just listen to eat whilst roasting a pig on a spit....up to you.

I'm feeling El Goodo today...

Pardon the rubbish punch line....today's bounce is a gift from El Goodo a band I am placing bets on to do big things. These boys sound like a cross between Ian Brown, Kasabian, Ennio Moricone soundtracks and the swinging 60's. This psychedelic garage rock band will be performing early tonight at Bardens Boudoir if you want to see for yourself how friggin wicked they are. If you can't be there tonight because you are cooking dinner for your gran then never fear as they will be back to the good old london town on the 21st of April at the Lexington.

Here is a little snippet of how good these guys are:

today we bounce in slowly....

On the notes of Nathaniel Rateliff....this Missouri born, folk bloke toured with the likes of Laura Marling and is set to be releasing an album in the uk very soon, yay!

I had the pleasure of meeting with Nathaniel and experienced not only great music but a great guy behind it, with stories from working in a plastic bottle making factory for 15hours a day at the mere age of 16 to shooting squirrels when he was too poor to feed himself....his music portrays his rawness and gives each listener a little window to Nathaniels life. Lovely lovely poetic stuff.

Here is a little snippet of his musical melancholic goodness, truly a one to watch for me, and should be for you too. So sit back infront of a log fire, light up your pipe and enjoy.

Today I bring you something a bit floral, a bit summery, a bit good! These guys are The Kabeedies, I could go on and compare them to other similar sorts but whats the point. They in my opinion are great and I am VERY tempted to go catch them at The 100 club wednesday.

This is there single, enjoy:

King Charles rides in on today's bounce...

No this is not some rebel royal, this is King Charles the alternative indie, meets rock, meets folk band tied neatly with a vocal that is immediately recognisable.

Personally my favourite tracks have to be Mr. flick and Time of Eternity. If you like artists such as Dan Le Sac and Scroobius pip/ BRMC/ Crystal Castles then I'm guessing you won't be disappointed with this.

Here are a coupld of spotify links for you to et tucked in to:

I bring you Gabi

Todays daily bounce is dedicated to a lovely little mix by Gabi. In keeping with the early sun this mix will whisk you away to a white sandy beach and plonk a glass of bubbly in your hand as the beat kicks in.

Feast your eyes on the imagery and your ears on this:

Black Box Revelations

Today's bounce comes in the form of garage rock Belgian band The Black Box Revelations, the next best thing to come of Belgium since chocolate in my opinion...(of course this is totally open to debate, but you will be talking to my hand).

Enjoy your weekends

Jumping on the Delphic band wagon

So it seems as though most people have caught the Delphic bug, gotta say that when I first saw them live I was sadly disappointed but I'll allow them that it was early in their flourishing career.

Here is a lovely little remix by Joey Silver for you to get tucked into. In fact its a great song to reflect today's weather, although I fear this song will last longer than the sun, rain tomorrow! boo!

In Ode to Disney and the sun

I woke up this morning to sunshine and blue skies so I decided to put on music that reflected that. and whilst shuffling through my ipod I rediscovered this...and well with all the Alice in wonderland hype at the moment it's quite fitting. (However I don't think it features on itunes unfortunately, I managed to feed the sound through a geeky contraption to get it).

Here are a few Disney remixes for you to sink your teeth into...
