Greetings virgin bouncers!

The origins behind the daily bounce..... I started to send a select few friends a song a day (missing a few days out due to being a human with a lazy gene). This evolved in a darwinistic style and became the daily bounce. These friends now chip in from time to time and raise songs to trump my previous bounce...I had to take it one step further and reclaim the bounce as my own...So I sailed the seedy seas of the internet and developed this blog.

This is where I can showcase old and new songs that I love, and typically 'bounce' to....enjoy...

October playlist in return for my shiteness...

Because once again I have been lazier than a sloth and not provided a bounce at all in recent I have put together a playlist on spotify of all the songs I put into my ears over the month of October. Not saying these are the coolest/best songs out right now, but they have featured quite heavily in my life in the current tense and so therefore, they must be.

Enjoy, indulge, engross

Star Slinger

Star Slinger a neeky little music boff from up north, I say this with respect and admiration. The dude built a computer solely for music production at the mere age of 14, what an utter don! With the likes of Paul Van Dyke backing him at an early stage in his ever flourishing career this bounce is purely self indulgent for me today. I got on the Star Slingers band wagon only recently and I have to confess its not left my ear drums since (sorry to all those other talented musicians out there!). He is also kind enough to share his music for free here >>>RIGHT HERE<<< get it on your ipods, you’d be fools not to. With very strong hints of passion pit and early chemical brothers it’s a win win situation.

Listen to his sound cloud here guaranteed to get you fully prepped for the weekend ahead.

Born Blonde

Saw this lot a few weeks back at the trusty Blue Flowers supporting Wolf Gang amongst others. (A post by Blue Flowers has just reminded me how much I actually enjoyed them, and why they take priority today over other bounces). Its so easy to put these things to one side, mainly because I am lazy, partly because I am busy.

They formed a little V formation on stage, like a flock of migrating musical birds. No denying that the lead singer is easy on the eye, this band have got that Mumford/Sons of Noel and Adrian/Mariners children feel with a 90’s Ashcroft vibe…mainly driven by the lead singers raspy vocals. Funny little combo, but works nicely to stop people from groaning and saying something like 'oh god, not another anti folk collective with wooden instruments and big harmonies'. (I have no friends that say this by the way, I'd probably punch them in the side of the head).

>>>HERE<<< is a video of in my opinion there stand out track of a 4 song long set list. Its called ‘Signs of Fear’.

I will be headed to see these boys again *coughs* to eye up the lead singer…I mean, engross myself in their music…in fact I truly mean that, I really do like what they’re doing.

Here's their myspace too.

Rizzle Kicks

This duo is a force to be messed with. Using established well put together tightly produced tunes and splicing them so that they can infiltrate with their poetry...this duo is set to explode. Using established artists for blank canvases such as lily Allen, The White Stripes and The Strokes, they use a totally different medium to the original artist to create a modern day surrealist movement. With lyrics so cuttingly truthful and adlibs equally as beautiful. I have well and truly fallen in love with this urban/pop/indie ‘Jedward’ (hate Jedward..literally hate Jedward).

Listen here, no no indulge here.

Superhumanoids

This LA electronic force have just announced UK tour dates mostly supporting Local Natives. Superhumanoids are definitely soon to hit the big time doing remixes left right and centre. With repetitive electronic beats and a laid back approach, their stuff is best heard chilling out on a big leather sofa with a martini in hand (or just a beer, a beer would do...). Their ambient remix of the Local Natives track 'Shapeshifter' parades their talents effortlessly, and yes you can hear it right here>>>>> ‘Listen Here’ .

Listen here to their myspace which features more spaced out tracks for you to feast on. I really like what these guys are doing, and I will be in attendance at one of their UK dates for sure....these are a personal best bounce for me.

Enjoy!

My body has been invaded by little ill bugs and is currently incapable of functioning....FAIL...I've not been able to listen to music this week let alone analyse and dissect it!

Have yourself awesome weekends and tune in Monday for a very special bounce :-)
