The origins behind the daily bounce..... I started to send a select few friends a song a day (missing a few days out due to being a human with a lazy gene). This evolved in a darwinistic style and became the daily bounce. These friends now chip in from time to time and raise songs to trump my previous bounce...I had to take it one step further and reclaim the bounce as my own...So I sailed the seedy seas of the internet and developed this blog.
This is where I can showcase old and new songs that I love, and typically 'bounce' to....enjoy...
Don't know how and I don't know why so please hold back from asking. I came across this youtube clip and felt the need to share. Really got into beat boxin' lately with people like Schlomo and Bellatrix. Here are just 2 random guys but they sound friggin awesome!
I have a migraine big time today (get your sympathy violins out). But as I am strong to the cause of bringng good music to the ears of my friends I still saught out a bounce. (Hasn't done much for my migraine though).
Yes it is...it really is the weekend :-) not that my weeks are bad, I actually love them, but nothing beats the weekend does it. So today I offer you a bounce that should fill you with excitement and anticipation for the days ahead.
I also raise you a dare....play this out loud in your office, guaranteed to go two ways, have the whole office raving in seconds, or have you filling a box with the personal items from your desk and leaving through the back door.
So I'm sure that most of you have heard the northern soul inspired Plan B track thats doing the rounds at the moment...but have you heard Pendulums remix? No? Well here it is, its a slow burner, only really kicks in at 2minutes but worth a listen.
Was sitting here this morning wondering what to put onto my spotify whilst having a conversation about Northern Soul, heavy basslines and whiney vocals. This lead me down one path, its more a dark alley lined with sex, drugs and rock n roll. At the end of the ally stands BRMC...so here it is my top BRMC track, enjoy.
Today I bring you lots of Love...shit loads of Ali Love. You may have heard his vocals before on the massive Chemical Brothers hit 'Do It Again' but here he is doing his own thing. He'll be playing at GOLDUST Hoxton Bar and Grill on the 17th ....well worth a little trip east me thinks....We LOVE Ali Love!
This thursday at Nottinghill arts club Roska will be playing supported by the likes of I Blame Coco (yes Stings daughter) and soulful Liam Bailey. Thursdays at this gaff are promoted by YoYo and always prove to be well worth heading to.
Here is a little taste of the kind of sound you might expect to hear on the night...
