Greetings virgin bouncers!
The origins behind the daily bounce..... I started to send a select few friends a song a day (missing a few days out due to being a human with a lazy gene). This evolved in a darwinistic style and became the daily bounce. These friends now chip in from time to time and raise songs to trump my previous bounce...I had to take it one step further and reclaim the bounce as my own...So I sailed the seedy seas of the internet and developed this blog.
This is where I can showcase old and new songs that I love, and typically 'bounce' to....enjoy...

Delilah - Love You So (Dan Vinci remix)
A friend of mine just hit me up with this remix he's done of Delilah....please do not listen if you are on a portable device/ tinny computer speakers..it can only be enjoyed through a MASSIVE sound system because the track itself is way too big! Damn!
Good work Dan!

Action Bronson - "SHIRAZ"
One day, I will meet this man and I'll marry him. Purely for his love of food and rap! Ignore that he is ginger and overweight, I can live with that. Any man that buys a shit load of prosciutto and olives is Prince Charming in my world. Not forgetting that his beats and spits are next to non! I know I have dropped this bounce before now, but fuck it I'm dropping it again cos he's worth it.....ahh my dream boat.
Next, to figure out how it would work with 30 tonne of hip hop hunny on top of me..I may cut down his prosciutto intake for a while before we consider consimating our marriage.

Rachel Sermanni
I had the pleasure of seeing Rachel perform before Michael Kiwanuka at Bush Hall a few weeks back and it was a rare moment of pure joy. Her voice and lyrics are so evidently mature for someone of only 19! Listening to her tracks is like settling down for a good episode of Jackanory.
This track 'The Fog' stood out for me the most and I am more than delighted to share it with you! The chorus smacks you square in the face...big, and some haunting string arrangements produced by one of my one to watch producers Ian Grimble (recently also working on Marcus Foster).

Dam Mantle - Not A Word
So, for those of you that know me will know that I have been bundled inside The Old Bailey for the last 2weeks and unfortunately in such time I've not been keeping my finger on the musical pulse I love so much. I don't think the court would have appreciated me busting out the wobbly subs...though it may have made sending someone 'down' a lot more dramatic.
This song was sent to me by a friend, I ought to repay him with one million rupees, cos it is SICK!...chilled vibes, and warped vocals, can't get enough of it. What's more, it's helped me 'settle' into my mountain of emails nicely and I think, actually I know it has stopped me from smashing my fist through my VDU!
Enjoy as much as me

Class Actress - Weekend
Aptly named track, considering in 8hours it will officially be my weekend.
Well reminds me of The Knife, using the bassy synths I first heard listening to 'Heartbeats'....ahhh mate, that was a tune. (Also synced in Donkey Punch, if you haven't see that film, probably should).
Enjoy the track and enjoy your weekends

Just a little snippet of a track I'm all over this week, from the talented UK female act Laura Jones (Saw Jamie Jones giving the thumbs up yesterday too, must be a win). Hoping to see bigger things for her and be dancing a bit more to her stuff in the white isle next year!

I Break Horses - Winter Beats
So the DB is off to the Balearic islands (actually not all the islands, just Ibiza) for a week but before it goes, or should I say, before I go, I wanted to share this track with you. I've non stopped rinsed it the last few days. Last night I laid on my bed, stared out of the window whilst this was playing. Little bit special actually, verging on epic.
Love the synths, love the drums, love the ghostly backing vocals. Everything about this track works for me, especially the build at the end, RUSH!

Paul Thomas Saunders
So today is all about Paul Thomas Saunders for me. His new EP Lilac and Wysteria sounds bloody epic.
Here is a link to a free download of his: GET YOUR FREE MUSIC HERE
Here is a little video to sink your teeth into as well:

Looking forward to seeing this guy live, so far he has evaded me.
On another equally epic note, I am off to see Ben Howard tonight, very much looking forward to it. Rinsed his EP like no one could ever rinse an EP. (Does that even make sense? Not sure it does) Oh well, may as well give you something else to listen to:

Bushstock
So this weekend I ventured down to Bushstock run by the lovely guys and gals at Communion. With the weather on their side and a good turn out of people, west London was buzzing with tweed clad fellows hungry for folk.
Being biased to this genre of music it would be easy for me to review each and everyone that played, however I’ve decided to pick out 2 class acts that made me sit up and listen more than the rest.
The first comes in the form of Michael Kiwanuka. He was based in the St Stevens church at the festival, and I shit you not his voice filled every single nook and cranny or that building.
Here is his track ‘Tell Me a Tale’
TELL ME A TALE
The second comes in the form of Marques Toliver. This dude had some serious stage presence, even covering TLC’s ‘I don’t Want No Scrub’ and pulling it off.
This clip speaks for itself, the guy’s got vibes and a great set of lungs on him, I gove you ‘White Sails’
WHITE SAILS
I have to say, the event was very well run and a joy to be at, bring on next year!

Dutch New York - Cant Hide
Was talking about my love of all things NY and I remembered this track by Dutch New York, a rap artist currently signed to US based indie label PMG.
This song epitomises new york and its addictive vibe.
Track best listened too whilst sitting in the sun, on a roof terrace overlooking Manhattan whilst sipping on glass of the ol' bubbles....PIMP!

Thomas Bjerring - 02:45
As some of you may already know I am a sucker for chill wave electronic sounds and beats. This song pretty much is that. Ghostly vocals that remind me of bands like 'Washed Out', 'Viernes', 'Small Black', 'Nite Jewel' and 'Millionyoung' to name but a few.
In my (always right) opinion, there is no better way to start a week than with a bounce like this.
In other news, my vlog is being edited this week and will feature gigs I've been too, me talking into the camera and things I've learnt like > Learning how to Dougie. Yes you will see me Dougie.

Sorry for lack of DB...
I've been majorly active on twitter though >>>>>>>see over there >>>>>>
I blame the failings of my blog on the need to do real work and make some money and the constant distraction of Cats Eye's album...if you havent already then you probably should go ahead and buy it.
Today I bring you:
C Spencer Yeh: In the Blink Of an Eye
C Spencer Yeh : In The Blink Of An Eye by destijlrecs
Nothing much to say apart from the fact that the guitar is heavy and there is a funky little electronic drop about half way through that had me bouncing in this shabby office chair. Thumbs up from me...me likey.
In other news, cant get enough of Mosh girl this week..the pure genius of pointless is the key to making it funny. SEE HERE

Cosmic Dennis< THIS WAS AN APRIL FOOLS FYI
So today the bounce brings you Cosmic Dennis, low fi sounds and haunting vocals...a pure lyrical genius.
Today I will be mostly rinsing the track Buttery Moon.
With comparisons to greats like Tom Waits, Nick Drake and Bob Dylan for his pure rawness and truth, Dennis is sure to make waves in the ever growing Folk scene in the UK.

'Embody' Description: A bounce that comes in from a friend via email on a very bleak friday, brings a little ray of sunlight and lifts my mood tenfold.
This is one bounce that's sure to get you in the mood for the weekend. Unlike you young, fresh faced f*ckers, I will be spending my Friday night in tracky b's eating pizza and sleeping. St Patrick's day has left me in pieces!
This is not what I was expecting to hear from Sebastian but cant deny it, you gotta love the funk vibe to this track.

Glockenspiel song-Dog is dead
This morning I am listening to this track on full whack....perfect way to start a friday. Beaut harmonies and some nice horn arrangements at the end. An uplifting feel good song. This band are hotly tipped, and rightly so, however I'm a tad wary that their sound is soaking up the last of this influx of similar bands, however for now, right at this second they are making my ears happy.

Cliffhanga -Evolve or Die remix
So, yeah it would seem of late I’ve been pretty slack with my bouncing. I’ve just fired over random tracks without even telling you poor beautiful souls what I think of them.
I can only blame this on my preoccupation with Charlie Sheen of late. He’s my new mantra and I’m committing myself to formulating a ‘better plan’. This, at the weekend involved pretty much no sleep, chatroulette and human buckaroo. (Don’t ask, made sense at the time).
So after a debaucherous weekend I dragged myself to work yesterday morning. I was sitting in my office yesterday, looking out at the bluest London skyline I’ve seen in a while and it occurred to me that I had no soundtrack to accompany it. Until………
I ventured on to twitter where 'Darren The Music' had tweeted about a banging little tune.
And here it is, bouncy, subby, wobbly and banging.
Cliffhanga – Landmines - Evolve Or Die Remix sorry to those of you that don’t have spotify, I cant seem to find it anywhere else.
You can buy the whole EP here, suggest you do the other remix on it by Arkist is stripped down dub, with a chilled vibe similar to that of James Blake.
